Today, at the 21st of May, 2017th at 13-47 of Moscow time began installation works of the first wind generator of Russia’s first wind park. The investor and owner of the project is OJSC Fortum (member of RAWI). The capacity of the wind farm will be 35 MW. The company passed a project selection tender in December 2015th. It is the first in Russia copany passed unesy and ternary way of designing and preparing for the the construction of windpark of multi megawatt capacity for wholesale market. This is the first wind farm in Russia to be built with the funds of a private investor. The return on investment in the project will be in accordance with the legislation on the support of renewable energy sources, under which the contract for the supply of power is for 15 years.
OJSC “Fortum” intends to actively develop the construction of wind farms in Russia. Recently, its subsidiary Fortum Energia LLC registered a group of electricity supply points from wind farms with a total capacity of 1,400 MW at NP Market Council.
