The first phase of the pilot project for the construction of a wind farm with a capacity of 150 MW began in Adygea.

The stages of its creation were discussed on April 19 at a meeting in the government of the Republic of Adygea. Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Adygea Vyacheslav Sapiev held a working meeting with the General Director of JSC “OTEK” (a subsidiary of the State Corporation Rosatom) Alexander Korchagin, the press service of the regional government reports.

As Alexander Korchagin underlined, Adygea will be the first region where for 2017 – 2019 the most powerful wind farm in the country will be created. Estimated investment is about 12 billion rubles.

The project includes localization of production of wind power turbines, construction and operation of wind parks. Now the creation of a wind farm in Adygea is at the design stage. Already at the end of 2018, direct installation of equipment will begin. It is planned to build 60 of the most modern wind power turbines on the sites of Shovgenovsky and Giaginsky districts.

“We are interested in the implementation of this unique project, which will give impetus to the development of renewable energy, help to fill the growing needs of the republic in energy capacity. In addition, with the advent of this infrastructure facility, Adygea will receive additional tax income to the budget, new jobs will be created, “said Vyacheslav Sapiev.

“Based on the results of wind measurements, Adygea has good wind potential (6.2 m / s). I can note a remarkable fact – today there is a strong wind in the republic. This indicates a remarkable perspective for the implementation of the pilot project, “- said Alexander Korchagin.

The annual volume of electricity consumption by the republic is over 1.4 billion kWh, while its own output is about 8-10%. It is assumed that with the commissioning of wind parks part of the region’s demand for energy capacity will be closed.
