NP Market Council informs that according to the amendments to the Rules of the Wholesale Electricity and Capacity Market by the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 432 of 11/04/2017, the competitive selection of investment projects for the construction of generating facilities operating on the basis of renewable energy sources (RES) In 2017 will be held for 5 years ahead – for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 years.
The competitive selection will be held from 29 May to 09 June 2017. The results will be announced by June 30, 2017.
The planned volumes of wind power generation required for the years 2018 to 2022 for the years 2018 to 2022 will be: 2018-250 MW, 2019-300 MW, 2020 350 MW, 2021 500 MW, 2022 – 500 MW. Total amount of projects that applicants can submit for the competitive selection of this year will be 1900 MW.
As previously reported, Fortum registered the delivery points for a total volume of 1,400 MW, which gives reason to expect the intention to participate in the tender for this volume. It can also be assumed that the remaining 500 MW can be “divided” between potential market participants -JSC OTEK of state holding SC Rosatom, German development company SoWiTec and other market participants.
